According to the reports from June, 2018 the Yamaha Motor India is going to launch the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 MotoGP edition in this month in the Indian markets. This same motorcycle has been teased by the Yamaha Motor India in an official video. With the official teaser being revealed in the company’s youtube channel, the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 MotoGP edition is going to arrive soon within a couple of weeks in the Indian markets. After the launch of the Yamaha R15, it had been a hit for the Japanese auto maker and the new generation motorcycle is getting better and sportier. Therefore it is expected that the new Yamah YZF-R15 V3 MotoGP edition will boost the automaker’s popularity as well as sales.
The Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 MotoGP edition bike is already on sale in selected South East Asian markets. The Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 MotoGP edition to be launched in India will be different only in terms of cosmetic changes. The bike comes with a blue colour scheme similar to the Yamaha Factory MotoGP bike. Besides that, the special edition motorcycle will embellish Movistar logo on the front cowl and the front fairing. The Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 MotoGP edition will also furnish the ENEOS logo on the belly pan.

The Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 MotoGP edition will be priced slightly above the standard R15 V3 variant, which is priced at Rs 1.27 lakh [ex showroom- Dehli]. The Indian markets will retail only limited units of this special edition bike. The new special edition bike will feature all new digital instrument cluster, sleek LED headlamps, aerodynamic LED rear light and a wide rear tyre. Moreover, this bike offers a wide range of accessories like frame slider, skid plate, Metzeler rear tyre, tank pad, Daytona muffler and seat cover.
The Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 MotoGP edition will be powered to the single cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel injected 155 cc engine. This engine churns out a maximum power of 19.3 bhp and produces a peak torque of 15 Nm. A six speed manual transmission with a slipper clutch comes matted to the engine. This is the same engine powering the standard R15 V3.0 variant. The suspension duties are handled by conventional telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. The braking duties are controlled by a 282 mm disc brake up front and a 220 mm disc brake at the rear. In order to maintain the affordability, the India based R15 V3 misses out the upside down forks and anti braking system. The Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 MotoGP edition is going to be one of the best entry level sports bike at its price range in the Indian markets.
