Yamaha MT-15 Spotted In India - Soon To Be Launched

Yamaha MT-15 is the naked sibling of highly successful R15 V3 and Yamaha is planning to bring it very soon. While the Yamaha R15 V3 is favourite for those who want the supersports look and great handling, the MT-15 will offer not so committed riding position and an aggressive street fighter look.

One of the TeamBHP member mehuel managed to grab some spy shots of MT-15 testing on Indian roads. The first and foremost thing you’ll notice is the regular front forks rather than USD as an international variant. The same was done in R15 V3 to keep costs in check.

The bike gets a full LED unit which looks quite distinctive. Fuel tanks get minimal but aggressive shrouds along, the rear is short and sporty.

It gets mean-looking twin LED headlamps, edgy fuel tank with minimal extensions, the riding position seems to be less aggressive than the R15 V3 but not fully upright. The tail section is short and sporty with a box section swing arm. The rear suspension gets the same monoshock unit. Compared to international variant, there is more cost cutting done than just the USD forks, like different alloys, different tank etc.
