Yamaha Motor India today launched the 2019 Yamaha FZ-FI and FZS-FI. The FZ-FI and FZS-FI Version 3.0 now come equipped with a single channel ABS as standard. The bike gets an all new LED headlamp similar to the one found in its elder sibling, the FZ 25.
The bike is powered by a 149CC, liquid cooled, single cylinder BLUECORE engine, that puts out 13.2 PS at 8000 RPM and 12.8 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. The FZ-FI and FZS-FI also get a newly designed subframe and BOSCH Single Channel ABS for the front wheel. The rear tyre hugger is also a straight lift from the F25. It also gets an LCD instrument cluster and a rear disc brake.
The fuel tank design also has been revised and it gets new tank shrouds similar to the one in the FZ 25. The FZS-FI gets a chrome treatment on the duct plate. It also gets an underbelly cover to differentiate it from the regular FZ-FI. The bike now has a large single piece seat as opposed to the outgoing model, which as a dual seat setup. The design of the alloys have also changed and it is now a 10 spoke unit, which is wrapped in wider 140mm radial tires. The FZS-FI is offered in three colours, Matt Black, Dark Matt Blue, Grey & Cyan Blue. The FZ-FI is offered in two colours, Metric Black and Racing Blue.
Yamaha also showcased the R15 V3.0 equipped with Dual Channel ABS. The bike is already on sale across India at INR 139,000 (INR 141,000 for the new Darknight Color)
The FZ-FI is priced at INR 95,000 and FZS-FI is priced at INR 97,000. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. Adding to the excitement, Yamaha also launched the ABS-equipped versions of the FZ 25 and Fazer 25. The FZ 25 and Fazer 25 comes equipped with a dual-channel ABS.
The FZ 25 is priced at INR 133,000 and the Fazer 25 is priced at INR 144,000. Both the bikes remain mechanically unchanged, except for the addition of the dual channel ABS. The FZ 25 is offered in three colors Dark Matt Blue, Matt Black, Cyan Blue, and while the Fazer 25 is available in Dark Matt Blue and Metallic Black.
