Volvo XC40: Volvo XC40 is all set to rock the Indian market. The company will officially launch the car on 4th of July 2018. The company has already started the bookings for the latest XC40 SUV at just Rs 5 lakh, before launch. At first, the company will produce just 200 units in the country which will be carried from the Volvo’s Belgium factory. The smaller SUV has many interested buyers all over the world and it has earned good feedback from its owners. Many merchants in India already received bookings in the previous month.
Volvo Cars have been more of Safety packed while the company has moved upward with the design language which was noticed will all the recent launches. The XC40 is the first car to feature Volvo’s Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) which will definitely attract the younger generation with its unique and fashionable appearance. Some major designing modifications equipped in the latest variant makes it different from other Volvo models. It is seen with front curved grille and Thor’s hammer LED DRLs along with compact and strong exterior, horizontal hood and four-sided pillars. It is smaller SUV, but taller which sits at 18-inch alloy wheels shielded by thickset 235/55-section Pirelli P Zeros. It has a ground clearance of about 211mm and also comes with 20-inch wheels option.
The latest Volvo has received a company’s trademark front grille outfitted with a huge iron badge in the center. It sports higher sloping window edge at the rear which makes it look vivid and sportier. More Powerful Engine
The XC40 will be powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel (D4) engine which is capable of generating 190hp of peak power and 400Nm of peak torque. The company is expected to launch a single, fully-loaded R-Design option at the moment. The motor will be combined to an 8-speed automatic gearbox transmission which will deliver high-speed performance. The company claims the acceleration at 7.9sec.
Price & Rivals
The R-Design variant of Volvo will be definitely a hit as it is packed with many awesome radar-based safety features and finished with a fashionable exterior. It is updated with the latest high-performance engine which will run the vehicle smoothly. However, the rear passenger seat might be an issue as it is suitable for only two persons. This is a completely unique variant which is fashionable and modern especially made for youngers. The XC40 fashionable, smart and feature-packed concept which will battle against BMW X1, Audi Q3, and Mercedes-Benz GLA. The SUV will be imported initially, hence you may expect the prices on higher side considering the taxes. Although, the SUV is expected to be priced between 35-40 lakhs.
