Volkswagen Golf GTD: Previous reports suggested that Volkswagen is developing the latest variant of Golf GTD and now, the vehicle has been spied absolutely uncovered. The company has tested the upcoming hot hatchback on-road and that too without any cover. In the current test, the company is expected to analyzing emission as per the arrangement. The vehicle was spotted in Bengaluru which was attached with a non-permanent Karnataka enrolled number plates. It was recognized with an emission testing machinery at the back.
The arrangement was similar to diesel technology employed by Bosch. The expected Bosch’s diesel technology accommodates to lessen the NOX emissions. It also meets all the norms which will come into effect by next year. The spied model was seen with a GTD emblem outfitted at the rear section. The next-gen car will be developed in an extremely advanced MOB platform with many mandatory safety features. It will be equipped with high-level interior features compared to previous models.
The vehicle is outfitted with all-new LED headlights along with DRLs feature. The model is spied with massive air exhaust system which offers the car a sleeker and huskier appearance. The company has made the next model larger with more sets of features and elements which will is not included in existing Polo GTI. If we look it from the front, it has an all-black body design, dark trap grille attached with ‘GTD’ emblem, and huge air exhaust. It sits on broader twin-five-spoke alloy wheels and brand-new horizontal LED taillamps.
The modern and fashionable vehicle will have many mind-blowing features and elements in the cabin. The dash will be outfitted with a 12.7-inch colored display including an infotainment system. Additional highlights include heated front seats, ambient lighting, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, dual zone climate control and many driving and safety services. It has more space for head, shoulder, and leg because of the wider model. The Golf GTD will be launched in two variants 3-door and 5-door.
The Volkswagen Polo GTD is equipped with a 2.0-litre diesel powertrain which can generate 181bhp of peak power and 350Nm of peak torque. The motor is expected to be combined with a powerful 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox transmission. The company has not officially confirmed the specs which are expected to be revealed soon. After the official announcement, the vehicle is deemed to be listed in the company’s mid-range variants with a price tag of INR 27-30 lakh ex-showroom.
