2019 Volkswagen Ameo Cup Registrations Now Open

Volkswagen Motorsport India is now accepting registrations for the 2019 Volkswagen Ameo Cup drivers selection. Selections for the 10th edition of the Volkswagen Motorsport India’s touring race car series will also take place simultaneously.

The initial selections are scheduled to take place at the Indi Karting Track in Kharadi, Pune. Drivers will be selected on the basis of their performance in the karting sessions. They will be judged on their overall driving skills which will include consistency in performance, understanding of racing lines, lap times, driving attitude and versatility.

This is also hosted as a part of the MMSC-FMSCI Indian National Racing Championship. The main races will take place at MMRT (Chennai), Kari Motor Speedway (Coimbatore) and Buddh International Circuit (Greater Noida).

The head of Volkswagen Motorsport India, Mr. Sirish Vissa said, “2019 is a special year for Volkswagen Motorsport in India. We are entering our 10th year and looking back, I feel a sense of pride in the journey that we have covered be it in terms of the progress we have made in infrastructure to the work we have done in raising awareness about motorsport in the country and supporting amateur and seasoned talent alike. We have had some great races last season and I look forward to another year of superb talent and racing season.”

2019 Volkswagen Ameo Cup Registrations Now Open

The Volkswagen Ameo Cup Car is powered by a 1.8-liter TSI engine. It also gets a race engineered gearbox. It is also the fastest car from the Volkswagen Motorsport India Garage. The car also gets international spec safety and performance. It is engineered for the new drivers to learn easily and also for the professionals to improve their driving performance.

The Volkswagen Ameo Cup will have a grid of around 20 equally cars and 10 races scheduled across the year. Interested drivers can register in the link below and follow up on the application process to review eligibility.
