The new teaser video of the updated Tata Tigor has been released on the automaker’s social media and this confirms that the car will be launched soon in the country. The updated Tigor is likely to launch on 10th October, 2018. The duration of the teaser video is only seven seconds. The Tata Tigor was first introduced back in 2017 and now Tata Motors makes some cosmetic updates and adds some new features on the exterior as well as interior of its Tigor. However, the Tigor will remain unchanged mechanically. The teaser video reveals that the updated Tata Tigor will come with new lighting elements.
The new Tata Tigor will be offered in a new blue exterior paint scheme as shown in the teaser image. This similar shade of blue was seen on the Hexa. Besides that the new Tigor will roll on an all new set of alloy wheels and will feature updated and redesigned projector lamps with a chrome finish. The headlamp on the updated Tata Tigor remains the same while the rear lamps will get a clear lens treatment for the brake lamp element. Stepping into the interior, the new Tigor will come with a new upholstery design and the touchscreen infotainment system is now bigger and gets more features and will be installed with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
The updated Tata Tigor will remain unchanged in terms of powertrain. The new Tigor will be offered with both diesel and petrol engine powering options. The 1.2 litre Revotron three cylinder enigne powering the new Tigor churns out a power of 83 bhp and and on the other hand the 1.05 litre diesel engine produces a power of 69 bhp. A five speed manual or AMT gearbox gets matted to the petrol motor while the diesel motor gets the option of five speed manual transmission only. Tata Motors has set to launch the updated Tigor at the onset of the festive season. Once launched the updated Tata Tigor will rival the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, the new Ford Aspire and the Hyundai Xcent.
