Ford India had launched the Freestyle in the month of April this year. Now the Ford Freestyle comes updated with some minor features as well as gets a new exterior paint scheme option. The car gets its updates ahead of the festive season in India. Earlier the Ford Freestyle was offered in Oxford white, Canyon Ridge, White gold, Smoke grey, Mooniest Silver and Absolute black. However, the updated Ford Freestyle now offers a new Ruby Red colour option along with the previous ones.

The updated Ford Freestyle sports body coloured exterior mirrors, which will be standard across its four variants. Besides that the interior of the updated Freestyle comes equipped with the adjustable head rests for the rear passengers. However, the updated Ford Freestyle will see any price hike of over Rs 20,000 due to the minor additions. It will be priced at Rs 5.23 lakhs to Rs 7.03 lakhs for the petrol powered variant while the diesel powered variant will be priced at Rs 6.18 lakhs to Rs 7.89 lakhs. The reasonable pricing, standard safety features as well as the true Ford tradition driving dynamics will likely make the updated Ford Freestyle popular among the buyers.

The Ford Freestyle comes equipped with ABS with EBD and dual air bags as standard. However, the top of the line – Titanium+ trim is provided with six air bags. Besides that the Titanium+ version features a 6.5 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Sync 3 connectivity. The other standard features on the top of the line variant includes the automatic headlamps, push button start, rain sensing wipers, automatic climate control, keyless entry and reverse parking camera.

The updated Ford Freestyle will remain unchanged mechanically. Powering the updated Ford Freestyle is a three cylinder 1.2 litre Dragon series petrol engine, which churns out a power of 96 bhp and produces a peak torque of 120 Nm. The other 1.4 litre four cylinder diesel engine powering the updated Ford Freestyle delivers a power of 100 bhp and produces a peak torque of 215 Nm. A five speed manual transmission comes matted to both the engines. The Ford Freestyle returns of 19 kmpl and 24.4 kmpl for the petrol powered and the diesel powered versions respectively.
