Renault India will soon launch its nest premium hatch in the Indian market. Renault Triber is scheduled to be officially introduced by June 19. The company has previously released a teaser of the car which hasn’t revealed any details of the car. Although, here comes another teaser from the company which gives us a glimpse of the upcoming hatch. The features and specs are still a secret.
The all-new teaser of Triber reveals a broad structures car with a stocky hood along with LED DRLs at the front. The new hatch will be developed with a first-in-class modular seat arrangement. The car has been spied while on test which reveals some details of the design. The hatchback will be taller and bigger compared to other cars in the range which result in a spacious cabin. The vehicle will also come with roof rails.
Renault Triber is based on the Kwid’s CMF-A modular platform. The company has adopted many high-level safety features which include dual front airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors and a speed warning system as standard. It will also come with a top-specs variant that will feature rear parking camera and curtain airbags (expected). The Triber will come in a seven-seater arrangement. Moreover, the cabin will be integrated with AC vent for the third row and spacious luggage area.
Moreover, the cabin of the Triber will be equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system that will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will also get steering-mounted audio controls and a coloured MID. The touchscreen will also feature some advanced intelligent features such as driving-style coaching and a driver economy rating.
The popular carmaker has placed the upcoming car between the Kwid and SUV range. Triber can be powered by a 1.0-litre engine based Kwid or the Micra 1.2-litre engine which makes 68PS/ 91 Nm and 77PS/ 106 Nm, respectively. The company can also bring a turbocharged 1.0-litre Kwid engine. The Triber could be introduced with an AMT variant on option, revealed by the previous spy shots.
The new teaser has raised the excitement among its fans who are eagerly waiting for the car. The petrol engine is confirmed, but the diesel variant is still in question as the BS6 norms will come into impact next year. The upcoming Renault Triber is expected to be sold at a price between Rs 5.5 lakh-Rs 8 lakh. The car will rival against the likes of Datsun Go Plus, Mahindra Marazzo and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in terms of prices.
