The new TVS Radeon has been launched in India at an ex showroom price [Delhi] price of Rs 48,400. With the launch of the new 110 cc commuter bike in the Indian markets, TVS Motors has strengthened its position in the commuter bike segment in the country. The TVS Radeon was firt unveiled in concept form at the Auto Expo 2012. But the production model is different from the concept form in terms of design, style and mechanics. The 110 cc commuter bike, Radeon has been is available in four colour options – purple, black, beige and white. TVS Motors offers five years warranty on the new Radeon.The new Radeon is an affordable commuter bike with new features and stylish design from the TVS Motors. The TVS Radeon comes with unique classical look in stylish chrome accents, powerful headlamp with chrome bezel, chromo finished instrument cluster, shock absorber, silencer and shroud. Besides that the TVS Radeon comes equipped with electric start, USB charging slot, convenient pillion grab rail, a side stand indicator with beeper. The bike rides on 18 inch alloy wheels shod with DuraGrib tyres. The bike is developed for the discerning, productive Indian located at the small towns of India. The new TVS Radeon is powered by an air cooled, single cylinder 109.7 cc engine. This engine churns out a power of 8.2 bhp at 7000 rpm and produces a peak torque of 8.7 Nm at 5000 rpm. The fuel tank capacity is 10 litre and claimed fuel economy is 69.3 kmpl. A four speed gearbox comes coupled to the engine. The bike features drum brakes at both ends with a first in segment Synchronised Braking Technology, which provides superior braking control and avoids skidding. The new Radeon features the longest seat, designed to ensure comfort over long distance travel. The TVS Radeon gets a high ground clearance of 180 mm and a long wheel base 1265 mm. Suspension duties are handled by the telescopic forks at the front and five step adjustable hydraulic at the rear. The TVS Radeon takes on the likes of the Hero HF Deluxe, the Bajaj CT 100, the Honda Dream Yuga, the Yamaha Saluto RX and the Hero Splendor.
