TVS is now accepting registrations for the TVS One Make Women Championship. This annual event will take place over five rounds. Riders will compete aboard the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V motorcycle
The first round will take place at Meco Kartopia in Bangalore on Feb 9 and also at Ajmera IndiKarting in Mumbai on Feb 23. TVS is also including a full day of training prior to the selections to encourage more women riders. The training will be handled by TVS racers like Aishwarya Pissay, K Jagan Kumar, Harry Sylvester, and KY Ahamad.
Top 15 riders from each city will move to the next round. Riders will be judged based on their lap timings, physical fitness and racing abilities. These riders will then compete at the Madras Motor Racing Track (MMRT) in Chennai on May 4. Here 15 final riders will be selected for the championship. Also, these 15 riders will be coached by TVS Racing riders before the national championships start in June 2019.
Interested riders can register for the TVS one make women championship by paying a Rs 1,000 fee. To further encourage more women riders, TVS is also offering a limited number of leather racing suits for rent. The riders however, are expected to have their own ECE, DOT rated full face helmet with a double D ring strap, gloves and boots.
