As reported by us earlier TVS has finally launched a new version of their successful TVS Ntorq 125. This new version is called Ntorq 125 Race Edition and brings various cosmetic changes with it. Already the TVS Ntroq 125 came loaded with connectivity and other features and this update further enhances the style quotient of the scooter.
Yes, the front of the scooter has got an LED treatment now. It features a T shaped LED DRL which is similar to the LED unit offered in the tail light of the scooter (talk about symmetry). Also, it gets a LED headlamp unit also featuring quad light design.
But what good will be a Race Edition scooter if it does not look sporty enough? TVS has taken care of that and provided this Race Edition with new graphics. It gets red, black and grey graphics along with different panels and also includes chequered flags design at the front, side and the rear panel.
The scooter also gets a red hazard warning light switch. Oher feature includes the familiar SmartXonnect console which can be paired via Bluetooth to your phone. The Console can show you navigation directions, caller ID etc. It has been the USP of the Ntorq apart from its sporty performance aimed towards young customers. Race Edition users will get a special race-inspired user face on the TVS Connect application on their phone.
Powering the scooter is the same 124.79 cc single-cylinder, 3-valve- air-cooled SOHC engine which churns out a healthy 9.4ps at 7,500 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. TVS yet have not introduced the BS6 variant so the power figures remain the same as before. All of this upgrade come at a minimal price of Rs 3,000 more than the standard variant. It is priced at Rs 62,995 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The scooter competes with Aprilia SR 125, Suzuki Burgman 125 and Honda Grazia.
