Apache RTR 200 Race Edition 2.0 :TVS Motor Company seems to be very serious with its product line up. After Apache 310 RR and Ntorq Scooter, the TVS Motor Company today launched the Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0 with new graphics colors, decals, a fly screen (as we have seen in the ethanol-powered concept motorcycle TVS displayed at Auto Expo 2018) and yes, the Apache RTR 200 gets an A-RT (anti-reverse torque) slipper clutch.

The Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0 will be offered an A-RT (anti-reverse torque) slipper clutch which is a segment first. The company claims, the new A-RT Slipper clutch reduces the force used to operate the clutch by 22 per cent, make the upshifts quicker and also reduces wheel-hopping when downshifting aggressively and while cornering as well. Additionally, the riders who want to take the bike to the racetrack, will see better lap times as well.

The bike gets all new dual tone Black and Red tone shade along with a chrome TVS logo in the fuel tank which gives it a premium touch. The Fly-Screen too makes the bike prominent. Additionally, the engine cap under the fuel tank is red colored to match the profile of the bike. The Apache RTR 200 Race Edition 2.0 continues to draw power from the same 197 cc single cylinder engine which churns out 20.5 PS (Carb) / 21.0 PS (EFI) of power at 8500 RPM and peak torque of 18.1 Nm at 7000 RPM.

The RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0 will be available in two carb and one Fuel Injection variant – Carburetor (Rs 95,185), Fuel injection (Rs 1,07,885) and Carburetor with ABS (Rs 1,08,985; all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). Well TVS Motors have been very downright in terms of pricing, The Race Edition has increment of just roughly Rs 1,200.00 on each model. Although, with an extra pay of Rs. 6,000.00 like the preceding model you can get your bike wrapped with Pirelli tyres as an optional on across the three models.

Overall, the bike looks more promising and has greater road presence. The detailing has been taken care off very seriously to make you feel premium. Well, the A-RT Slipper clutch has check mate the other out there in this segment.
