TVS Motor will soon commence the production of the all-new Apache RTR 310 in India. The sporty bike is expected to hit the Indian market by 2020. As per previous reports, the company was said to bring an adventure tourer, but now, we will get the street-fighter next. The upcoming model in the Apache series can be officially announced at the company’s event in February 2020.
According to a report, TVS will develop a new bike model jointly in a contract with BMW which can be showcased by 2020. After the launch of Apache RR 310, TVS reported a remarkable sales growth. The company sold 3.05 lakh units in April. So, the company noticed a 9 per cent growth. The Apache series has a good contribution to the overall sales.
Coming back to Apache RTR 310, the design of the bike will be based on the popular G310R. The existing RR310 and G310R are outfitted with a new subframe and handlebar. The RTR 310 will also receive some similar features from the G310R including build-frame, engine, exhaust system, fuel tank, suspension, and braking setup as well. The bike will be introduced with a comfortable seat. The seat height will be improved along with new footpeg arrangement.
The upcoming RTR 310 can be an updated version of all-new RR310. To maintain a suitable price range, the bike will miss some top-specs features. However, the affordable price is enough to attract young-gen TVS fans. The price of the bike is expected to be similar to RR310. In contract with TVS, BMW can also launch the G310RR to complement its product series.
The powertrain will offer enhanced performance and fuel-efficiency for smooth rides on city roads. The company can adopt the Draken design for the front which has received a great response from the Indian fans. The concept hasn’t been revealed officially yet, but we expect that it gets the same TVS streetfighter scheme that was debuted at the Auto Expo. Expect the bike to be priced around Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom).
