An aftermarket exhaust for the TVS Apache RR 310 has just been offered by Akrapovic. Akrapovic has been a Slovenian manufacturer of exhaust systems since 1990. It is known for manufacturing the exhausts, which are used in MotoGP, superbike, supersport, supermoto, motocross, endure and rally raid.
The Akrapovic exhausts were first offered to the sports bike – the BMW G310 R and the BMW G310 GS. It is now offered to the TVS Apache RR 310. The Akrapovic exhaust has a header and an end cap as well. This aftermarket exhaust by Akrapovic is made as an optional exhaust system to the TVS RR 310 customers. The materials used in making the exhausts are carbon fibre. The TVS Apache RR 310 won’t need to remap the ECU like the other bikes. This is because the factory ECU installed on the bike that has the capacity of its own fuel consumptution.
The aftermarket exhausts are available in the Performance Racing Store in Mumbai. And the installation will also be done on the stores. The aftermarket exhaust has a price of INR 55,000. The TVS Apache RR 310 is the sport bike of the TVS Motors. It is likely to rival with the upcoming BMW G310 R and the G310 GS. Both these bikes have the Akrapovic exhausts.
The TVS Apache RR 310 is making its place in the Indian track racing community. This motorcycle allows the rider to continue both types of riding skills in a single motorcycle. The aftermarket exhaust provides an increased power of 2.4 HP and a peak torque of 2.7 Nm. Besides that the exhaust system lowers the weight of the TVS Apache RR 310 by some 4.6 kg from its total weight. Therefore this reduction of weight will be useful for the track purposes.
The TVS Apache RR 310 will draw power from a 311 cc, four stroke, single cylinder engine. In presence of Akrapovic exhaust this engine develops a power a maximum power of 36.4 HP and a peak torque of 30 Nm. While without the Akrapovic exhaust it could only develop a power of 34 HP and a torque of 27.3 Nm. The engine gets matted to a six speed gearbox, that transmits power to the rear wheel.
