Crown: The popular Japanese automotive has previously introduced Century in Japan and they have now rolled out another fantastic model. The company has unveiled the gorgeous Crown luxury sedan, that was presented in the country previous year. It is the latest 15th generation model which is developed by may top-level technologies and becomes the first-gen relevant vehicle as it is revealed with data communication module (DCM) as standard. They have also uncovered a latest model namely Corolla Sport made only for Japan sales.
The vehicle is designed on Toyota’s new TNGA platform. The front section of the latest vehicle is extended smooth surface along with a low raised bonnet. The latest vehicle is 5,020mm in length, 1,805mm in width, and 1,480mm in height and the wheelbase remains at 2,925mm. Compared to the previous variant, this new version is longer and taller which provides a sharp look. The company has also offered an RS variant which is outfitted with 18-inch aluminum wheels, four exhaust tailpipes, a rear spoiler and door frame polished in black.
The interior of the latest Crown is upgraded with many interesting features including an 8-inch display which is fixed at back to monitor reverse function and a 7-inch display attached at the bottom for effortless handling. The all-new model is equipped with connected car technology which p[rovides 24×7 connectivity services converged on safety, security, convenience, and accommodation for real-time driving information. The company has adopted data communication module which supports to link with different vehicles, and also the infrastructure for competent driving.
Toyota was more focused on safety while making this model. Crown features Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 which is loaded with features including automatic emergency braking along with pedestrian detection, intelligent cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and also auto high beams. It is offered in two-hybrid systems and a turbo-petrol motor. The 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid system powered variant generates 226hp of power and the top-specs 3.5-litre V6 petrol-hybrid system delivers 359hp of power, combined with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The turbo-petrol powertrain produces 245hp of power and 350Nm of torque.
According to the company, Crown comes with latest TNGA design which has which has notable advances to accomplish cabin serenity. The specially constructed optimized vehicle exterior frame house and the optimum combination of soundproofing elements don’t let you get disturbed in any case. The underpinnings also provide for a moderate installation of the motor, that renders a lower center of gravity. The company has not yet revealed their plans whether the gorgeous Crown will be introduced in India.
