Toyota India has upgraded its top three best selling models – Innova Crysta, Innova Crysta Touring Sport and the Fortuner for the Indian markets. Toyota India has introduced a number of updates to its best selling cars in terms of both safety features and technology. The Toyota Innova Crysta, Toyota Innova Crysta and the Toyota Fortuner will now come equipped with front LED fog lamps, rear fog lamps, emergency brake signal, anti theft alarm with glass break and ultrasonic sensor as standard.

The addition of features by Toyota India in its three top selling cars has raised the ex showroom prices of the three cars. Previously, the Toyota Innova Crysta was priced at Rs 14.35 Lakh and now the updated model carries a price tag of Rs 14.65 Lakh [for the base variant] and the price ranges up to Rs 22.06 Lakh [for the top end variant]. The Toyota Innova Crysta Tourng Sport was previously retailed at Rs 18.15 Lakh and now the prices have increased to Rs 18.59 Lakh for the base variant while the top of the line variant carries a price tag of Rs 23.06 Lakh. Likewise, the price of the Toyota Fortuner has also increased. The Toyota Fortuner which was previously available at Rs 26.69 Lakh is now priced starting from Rs 27.27 lakh [for the base petrol variant] and ranging up to Rs 32.97 Lakh [for the top of the line variant]. All the fore mentioned prices are ex showroom {Delhi} prices.

The Toyota Innova Crysta and the Toyota Innova Crysta Touring Sport will come equipped with additional features including steering mounted controls, audio controls, power folding ORVMs and speed and impact sensitive door lock/unlock. Besides that both these offerings from Toyota India feature touchscreen infotainment system and puddle lamps. Similarly, Toyota India upgrades the Fortuner with additional equipments including an anti theft alarm with sn ultrasonic sensor, rear fog lamps, passenger side powered seat and an electrochromic inner rear view mirror.

Toyota India has increased the prices of all the three cars not only for the additional features but also for the now compulsory three year third party insurance plan for all passenger cars. All the three cars – Innova Crysta, Innova Crysta Touring Sport and the Fortuner remain unchanged apart from the addition of new features. In India the Innova Crysta, Innova Crysta Touring Sport competes with the likes of the upcoming Mahindra Marazzo and Maruti Eriga while the Toyota Fortuner rivals the Ford Endeavour.
