Toyota India has finally launched the most awaited Glanza which is developed in partnership with Suzuki. The fascinating car has been developed at Suzuki facility in India. It has been revealed in two variants: V and G. The designing of the all-new Glanza is based on Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Both the variants are inspired by Zeta and Alpha version of the Baleno. It is a rebadged Maruti Suzuki Baleno, although, the company has revised some elements to make it different from Baleno.
The company has already started accenting the pre-bookings of the new hatch via some dealerships. Glanza is derived from a German word which means Brilliancy/ Radiance/ Sparkle. Developed as a Toyota series, the hatchback is equipped with an all-new bold looking grille. It is outfitted with sleek LED projector headlamps. It comes with modern bumpers and sits on diamond cut alloy wheels. At the rear, the car is equipped with an LED combination lamps highlighting light guide.
The all-new Glanza has a premium cabin which has got lots of features. It is integrated with a first-in-class Toyota Smart Playcast 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It comes with a multi-information display along with navigation feature. The cabin is integrated with new dual tone fabrics seats. The company has built the amazing superior hatchback with tons of safety features including dual airbags, ABS, EBD, seatbelt reminder, rear parking sensors and ISOFIX mounts for child seats.
The Toyota Glanza is available with petrol engine option only. The G variant is powered by a mild-hybrid 1.2-litre K-series motor making 89.7 bhp at 6000RPM of max power and 113 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the V variant comes with mild-hybrid 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine delivering 82.9 bhp of power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The car is available in 5-speed MT and 7-step CVT transmission options. The company claims a fuel efficiency at 21.01 kmpl and 23.87 kmpl for the V MT and G MT (Mild-Hybrid) variants, respectively. The CVT variant claims 19.56 kmpl. All the variants are BS VI compliant.

Glanza is announced with a standard 1 lakh km/3-year warranty extended up to 5 years/ 220kms. The car has been developed in a new-generation HEARTECT Platform which offers superior crash resiliency, enhanced rigidity and improved NVH performance. The car is available in five attractive shades: Sportin Red, Insta Blue, Gaming Grey, Cafe White, and Enticing Silver. It will rival against the likes of Honda Jazz, Hyundai i20 and the Baleno in the Indian market.
