Best Selling Cars: Many automotive giants debuted their latest concepts in the Auto Expo 2018, but it seems that the craze for the previous models still exists in India. In the month of March this year, many car manufacturers in the country got good sales report, whereas some failed to achieve the highest position. The highest profit making companies are Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors who reported an increase of about 15 percent and 31 percent in sales unit, respectively. On the other hand, the sales init decrease was reported by companies like Honda by 28 percent, Renault by 37 percent, and Toyota by 9 percent. Hyundai, Mahindra, and Ford marked a slight increase of 7 percent, 5 percent, and 4 percent, appropriately.
The Indo-Japanese car maker, Maruti Suzuki achieved to grab total six spots in the top 10 list of best-selling cars in March 2018. In previous year Maruti Suzuki Dzire was seen in the first spot of the company, but now it is replaced with the entry-level hatchback, Alto. Maruti sold more than 23,303 units of the Alto and 22,195 units of Dzire which is the subcompact sedans in the second spot. After the announce of the brand-new Dzire, the previous version noticed a minor decrease in sale. The new variant has a more modified outer look and advanced engine specs. The Wagon R took the fifth spot which has been sold total 14,208 units.
Hyundai Grand i10 and the Elite i20 also got good sales mark unit. Both the cars come with top-specs which are yet rocking the Indian market. The enhanced facelift Grand variant was released in 2017 and is still running successfully in the market. It was sold approx. 12,476 units in the previous month this year. The next 9th spot was seen with the average Creta compact SUV sold total 10,011 units. The Swift and Baleno were ahead of the Wagon R which received the third and fourth position. Both the cars are more superior than the rival Hyundai Elite i20. The company sold approximately 19207 unit and 16254 units of Swift and Baleno, respectively. The latest variant of Swift has observed great appreciation and the bookings are increasing day by day. It is assumed that the Swift will move to the top spot in the coming months.
Some more cars on the list include Vitara Brezza and Creta which are seen on the seventh and ninth spot, respectively. The company reported a sales increase of the Hyundai Creta and expects that it will soon rise to the position. There is some latest entry in the automotive market which is Tata Nexon and Honda WR-V. These cars are receiving interests of coming with great specs which managed to be sold total 4,000 units per month. Mahindra Bolero MUV managed to receive the last spot with a selling of 9,104 units in the March 2018.
