The Tata Tiago JTP has been scheduled to launch tomorrow October 26, 2018. But the model is officially uncovered today in production form ahead of its launch. The Tiago JTP was showcased in concept form at the 2018 Auto Expo held in New Delhi. The JTP model of the Tiago is developed by Coimbatore based Jayem Automotive and the car is more powerful and sportier trim of the Tata Tiago. The price of the Tata Tiago JTP is not yet announced. Tata motors will announce the price of the car tomorrow. However, it is expected that the Tiago JTP will be priced at Rs 1 lakh more than the top of the line variant of the current Tiago.
The new Tata Tiago JTP sits on 15 inch alloy wheels with diamond cut. The Tiago JTP comes with a matte grille, smoked headlamps as well as new alloy wheel design and side skirts. Besides that the Tiago JTP comes with redesigned front and rear bumper adding to the sportier look. The other exterior features include the dual exhaust system and the JTP logo emblemed on the front, sides and rear. The Tiago JTP gets a low ground clearance of 166 mm and stiffer suspension as well as braking calipers.
On the interior, the Tata Tiago JTP features JTP emblem on the seats, floor mats as well as on the speedometer. Besides that the cabin comes equipped with Harman touchscreen infotainment system with eight speakers, parking sensors and AC vents with broader accents.
Powering the Tata Tiago JTP is 1.2 litre three cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This engine churns out a maximum power of 114 PS at 5000 rpm and produces a peak torque of 150 Nm at 2000 rpm to 4000 rpm. A five speed manual gearbox comes matted to the engine. The dual air bags and ABS with EBD are offered on the Tata Tiago JTP as standard safety features. The Tiago JTP accelerates from 0 kmph to 100 kmph in just 9.8 seconds. The Tiago JTP has a fuel tank capacity of 35 litres. The car measures 3746 mm in length, 1647 mm in breadth and 1531 mm in height.
