Tata Nexon has been now one of best seller from Tata Motors stable and earlier Tata announced that the Nexon Production has already crossed 25,000 Units milestone. The Compact SUV is already suppressing the Honda WR-V with an average sales of more than 4000 units per month. Earlier Tata Showcased the AMT version of Nexon at 2018 Auto Expo along with the Aero kit. Now, Tata has come up with a new variant XZ which will sit between XT and XZ Plus to cover the big price difference of nearly Rs. 1.40 lakhs between the XT and XZ Plus variant. The official launch in yet to be happen for both AMT version and the XZ new trim, however, we got some updates from the below leaked brochure for the XZ trim.
The new trim is introduced to increase the sales number and bag more customers from Brezza likers with better offering and pricing. The XZ variants has few exclusions of features as compared to the XZ plus variants like – Dual-tone roof color, LED DRLs, 16” Inch Machine cut Alloy Wheels, grand central console with Front Armrest & Sliding Tambour door, Rear Seat Central Armrest, 60:40 Rear Split seats configuration, front fog lamps with cornering assistance, rear fog lamp and defogger and Smart key & push button start.
The Nexon XZ variant will continue to offer features like Twin Air Bags, ABS, Multi Drive option, Automatic climate control, 8 speaker Harman speaker setup, reverse parking sensors and camera. The new variant has no mechanical changes and will be powered with the same 1.2 liter petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engines, with turbocharger. The petrol generates 110 PS and 170 Nm while the segment leading diesel churns out 110 PS and 260 Nm of peak torque and both the engines are mated with a six speed manual transmission and AMT is expected to be launched soon. Once launched the Nexon AMT will be the lowest priced compact SUV in sub 4 meter segment.
The Nexon was launched last year in September and since then Tata in bid to increase the sales number high has been trying every bit by offering new kits and variants. The compact SUV is competing against rivals like Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra TUV 300 and Honda WR-V.
