After being applauded for the Nexon that was launched last year, the Tata Motors have recently launched their new variant –the Tata Nexon XZ to mark their success. This compact SUV has some very interesting features but also has removed some of the older ones to bring it within the budget.
The Nexon XZ variant is equipped with premium features which till now were reserved for the XZ+ only. Through this more customers will be able to enjoy the luxuries. These features consist a floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and voice command recognition, reverse camera, phone, music, navigation and climate control. It also has projector headlamps, height adjustable seat belt as well as height adjustable driver seat .The SUV also gets voice alerts, four tweeters, text and WhatsApp readouts and fabric upholstered seats and drive away locking features. The old features which still stays are twin air bags, ABS, multi drive option, 8 speaker Harman speaker setup, reverse parking sensors and camera.
As the previous model the car will be powered by the same 1.2 liter petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engines, with turbocharger, which generates 108PS/170Nm and 108PS/260Nm peak torque respectively. In both cases the engine has a 6 speed manual gearbox. It also comes with selectable driving modes –Eco, City and Sport. However the SUV misses out on features like LED daytime running lights, front and read fog lamps, and rear defogger. Also the car rides on the 16 inch tyres with dual tone wheel covers instead of the machine cut alloy wheels.

The prices for the petrol variant starts at Rs. 7.99 lakhs and the diesel one at Rs 8.99 lakhs (Ex- showroom Delhi). Ever since the Nexon was launched the Tata Motors have been able to maintain its position among the top-selling list. On an average they sell 4000-5000 units of the Nexon SUV. Tata Motors have also showcased the Nexon AMT at the Auto Expo 2018 and it is expected to be launched sometime around May, which is expected to be least priced Automatic Compact SUV in sub 4 meter segment. The Compact SUV is a potential rival for Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra TUV 300 and Honda WRV. The new variant XZ for the SUV is very well priced and feature loaded. Tata Motors is expecting more upward sales figure with the new addition to the Nexon line-up.
