Tata Motors has updated the Nexon with new interior features which are suggested by a leaked image surfaced online. The company has not publically declared the new subcompact SUV update. Although, the document is assumed to be from a Nexon dealership. The company might have planned to update the car by reviewing its customer suggestion. The fans were waiting for some improvement in the Nexon after the launch and now its finally done.
However, the company has offered only a few new features to the subcompact SUV. It has received a raised antenna length, updated non-touchscreen infotainment display and AC vents at the rear. The entry-level XE variant is not revised, although, all other variants of the Nexon petrol and diesel units have been updated with new features.
The XZ+ and XZA+ variants (petrol and diesel) are now integrated with a rear power outlet (12V) at the rear of the cabin. The door-trim has received an all-new piano black shade from satin chrome. Moreover, the XT, XZ, XZ+ and the XZA+ variants now come with rear AC vents and roof rails. The company has updated the interior colour scheme of XM, XMA, XT, XZ variants which is noticed at the dash, gear-shift lever knob, and the AC control panel.
The XM, XMA and the XT variants of Nexon have also got some changes on the non-touchscreen infotainment system and the antenna range. Tata Nexon is available in two engine options of 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron petrol engine and the 1.5-litre turbocharged Revotorq diesel engine. The 1198cc petrol engine is capable of making 110PS power at 5000 rpm and 170Nm peak torque. While the diesel unit churns out 110PS power at 3750 rpm and 260Nm peak torque.
Both engines are offered in 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed AMT gearbox options. Tata Nexon compact SUV is one of the high in demand car of the company which rival against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster, and the all-new Hyundai Venue. It is not known if the updates have affected the price range of the car, but at present, the prices start from Rs 6.58 lakh and go high to Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
