The popular carmaker, Tata Motors has big plans for this year. The company will bring many mindblowing models in the Indian automotive market. The fans are excitedly waiting for the new models to launch. The company has already launched the facelifted version of Tiago, Tigor and Nexon at Auto Expo 2020. They have showcased a brand-new 7-seater SUV, Gravitas, which will remarkably enhance the company’s sales in the range.
Tata Nexon is one of the best-selling cars of the company. The new version of the car is focused on attracting more customers with its unique design and performance. It has received a 5-star rating in the global NCAP safety crash tests and declared the safest compact SUV. The Tata car was updated with new features to meet the upcoming BS6 norm. It is modified both in terms of design as well as powertrain.
Recently, a video was published online by Moto Show youtube channel, which showcased the Tata Nexon as a Police car. In the video, we can see the Nexon with new shade exterior. The car looks bold and attractive with new elements as well. It is polished in a black colour which is generally used for the Police vehicles. The standard variant of Nexon available at the dealerships is Olive green shade with a white roof.
The customized Nexon has received some new elements on the exterior. It has got slimmer new headlamps with LED DRLs flaunted with turn indicators. The grille is now painted in the shiny black shade along with Tata badge. The car is integrated with blinking lights on ORVM’s. It is equipped with larger air dam along with tri-arrow elements below the bumper and a faux skid plate as well.
The car retains the same silver elements surrounding the fog lamp which gets new red and blue lightening arrangement visible on a police car. In terms of safety features, the car gets dual airbags for front, high-strength steel structure, Electronic Stability Program and ABS with EBD as standard. The BS6 model of Nexon is powered by the same powertrains: the (120 hp/ 170 Nm) 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine and the (110 hp/ 260 Nm) 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine.
The Nexon variants are available with two transmission options: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT. The new top-specs Nexon crossover is introduced with an all-electric motor, powered by 30.2 kWh battery, which makes 129 hp of max power and 245 Nm of peak torque. The prices start from Rs 6.95 lakh to Rs 12.7 lakh (ex-showroom). The EV is available at Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
