In just about 22 months after its launch, Tata motors have rolled off the 100,000th unit of the Nexon. The Nexon is India’s third largest selling Compact SUV followed by Maruti’s Vitara Brezza and Mahindra’s XUV300. Tata Motors manufactures the Nexon at its Ranjangon Facility in the outskirts of Pune. Tata sold the very first Nexon Unit in September 2017.
The Nexon is an eye candy with its quirky, or should we say, funky design elements. The coupe inspired design, three-tone interiors and dual tone exteriors, with the signature Ivory accents, make the Nexon stand out from the crowd. The 100,000th unit was finished in dual tone shade Moroccan blue & sonic silver.
The Compact SUV has several segment-first features, such as Multi Drive modes (Eco, City and Sport) and Floating touchscreen infotainment system. It was also the most awarded compact SUV of the year 2018. The biggest feather in its cap is the 5 star safety rating in the Global NCAP tests, conducted in 2018. With this achievement, Nexon became the first and the only Indian car till date to achieve this feat.
Mr. Fernando Rodriguez – Vice President, Engineering, PVBU, Tata Motors, Mr. Mayank Pareek – President, PVBU, Tata Motors, Mr. Mohan Savarkar – Vice President, PVBU, Head Product Line UV/ SUV and Mr. Rajesh Khatri – VP Operations, PVBU, Tata Motors were present at the roll out of the 100,000th unit of the Nexon.
