Tata Motors launched the most awaited Nexon EV today in India. The new SUV EV is developed with the carmaker’s new Ziptron electric powertrain technology. The car is revealed in three variants: XM, XZ+, XZ+ LUX. The all-new electric SUV will be sold at the company’s 60 dealerships in almost 22 cities in India. The online booking will start at a token amount of Rs 21,000 and OTT updates on offer. The prices start at Rs. 13.99 lakh for the entry-level trim and goes up to Rs. 15.99 lakh for top-specs variant (ex-showroom, India).
Nexon electric car is the fifth model of the company launched this year after Altroz, facelifted Nexon, Tigor and Tiago. The new model is offered in three attractive shades: Signature Teal Blue, Glacier White and Moonlit Silver. The Nexon EV gets a modern and sporty appearance from the front with mostly Blue elements. It is equipped with advanced safety features which are the first priority of Indian customers while buying a new vehicle. The following are the variant-wise features of Nexon EV.

Some standard features include a flat-bottom steering wheel, instrument cluster, and LED DRLs. The car is integrated with a ZConnect app which offers more than 35 connected features such as vehicle tracking, light and horn activation, driving pattern assessment, charge levels, navigation, speed alerts, locating charging points, and many more.
The all-new Nexon electric is integrated with an IP67-certified 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. It comes with a warranty of eight years or 1.60 lakh km. The company has announced different charging modes for the vehicle which includes fast charging (CCS 2) and regular charging 15-ampere socket for home charging. It can get up to 80 per cent charge in 60 minutes using a fast-charging feature. Although, it will take about 8 hours to attain 20-100 per cent charge.
The new car is developed with a 3-phase permanent magnet synchronous engine which is capable of making 129 PS of power and 245 Nm of peak torque, combined with an automatic transmission. It gets two driving modes: Drive and Sport which enhances the driving experience. Nexon EV claims ARAI-certified range at 312 km. The company has released a special finance schemes finance scheme for its new electric vehicles. It rival against the likes of MG ZS EV and the Hyundai Kona in the Indian automotive market.
