After Jaguar Land Rover increased the prices of their range by 4%, Tata is also following the same path. Tata announced that it will increase the prices of its passenger vehicle range starting from April 2019.
The increase will be up to Rs 25,000. Tata also gave an identical reason as Jaguar Land Rover India, due to increased input costs and external economic conditions the price is being increased.
Mr Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors said, “The changing market conditions, rising input costs and various external economic factors have compelled us to consider this price increase. We are confident of maintaining our growth trajectory in the coming months on the back of our robust portfolio consisting of segment-leading products like Tiago, Hexa, Tigor, Nexon and the Harrier.”
Other manufacturers are also announcing hike in prices from next month, due to inflation and increased costs. In the statement, Mr Mayank Pareek said that Tata is confident to keep the same amount of sales going due to their robust portfolio of cars.
New updated prices will soon be updated at all the dealerships. Though Tata seems to minimize the hike prices by a fair margin so a maximum of Rs 25,000 will rise up on a specific model.
