Tata Motors is ready to launch the all-new Harrier SUV in India. The company has already started revealing the features in terms of video teasers. The company has raised the excitement for the SUV by revealing its off-roading capabilities and engine specs. Tata Motors has officially started the bookings of all-new Harrier SUV at Rs 30,000. The vehicle is expected to be launched in early 2019.
Although, before the official launch, the SUV has been spotted as a production variant just before a crash test. So, we have got the uncovered image of the most-awaited Harrier. The vehicle is developed in an OMEGA platform and built with an all-new IMPACT 2.0 design which provides an exceptional appearance. It has a bold and husky exterior with many innovative details.
The new spy shot shows the rear 3-quarter aspect of the production-ready Harrier SUV. The vehicle is outfitted with newly widened wheel arches which cover the 5-spoke alloy wheels and the slimmer enclosed LED taillights. The design is inspired by the Land Rover styling which makes it stylish and latest. It has got taller shoulder line and all-black D-pillar for a drifting roof surface.
The image reveals B pillars with black treatment, and the C-pillar encompassing a triangular quarter glass. In the rear section, the vehicle gets a silver polished diffuser combined in the dual tone rear bumper. Moreover, the spy images revealed a raked windshield and a spoiler.
Previous report claim that upcoming Harrier SUV will be introduced in a roomy five-seater arrangement. It could feature centre armrests, rear AC vents, sunroof, steering mounted controls, memory function for seats and the latest touchscreen infotainment system. In terms of safety, the SUV will be equipped with high-level features including airbags, ABS, EBD, hill descent control ESP and traction control.
The Tata Harrier is rumoured to run on a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine based on Fiat which can generate 140 BHP power. The engine could be combined with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions also. Tata claims the vehicle to equip a Kryotec engine under the hood to feature an Advanced EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) and eVGT (electric variable geometry turbocharger).
The company has not revealed the full features and specifications yet. You can book the Tata Harrier at nearby Tata showrooms. After the launch, it will rival against the likes of Hyundai Creta and Jeep Compass. The Tata Harrier is expected to be priced between Rs 13-16 lakhs.
