Tata Motors India Announces A Price Hike Of Up To INR 40,000

Tata Motors most anticipated SUV Harrier is all set to make its official launch on January 23, 2019. Tata Motors Impact design philosophy has been pumping numerous wonder out from its design team. And now the Harrier is the next flagship from Tata which is going to set a SUV benchmark in its class.

The Harrier will be 4,598mm long , 1.894mm wide, 1,714mm tall and carries a wheelbase of 2,741mm. With these figures Tata Harrier stands at the top among it’s competition, by offering the longest length and widest stance. So, Harrier will offer great street presence with it’s stance and bigger dimensions. At almost 4.6m long Tata Harrier will offers loads of space for it’s 5 occupants as well as their luggage. Harrier carries the same wheelbase as the Land Rover Discovery Sport which is not a coincidence as both the SUV share same platform.

Tata is offering Harrier with the 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine which it calls as Kryotec 2.0. It’s the same engine that comes in Jeep Compass with a different state of tune. The Kryotec diesel engine produces 140 hp mates to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The Harrier has long list of features to offer. It gets 8.8 inch central infotainment system and a 7 inch integrated MID display which is off course a segment 1st and interesting fact of it – both the digital display unit shows turn-by-turn navigation and all other data. The SUV doesn’t stop there and gets JBL music system and multi drive modes which consists of Eco, City and Sports. The safety isn’t ignored either and comes with SIX airbags along with ABS, EBD, Isofix, Corner Stability Control, Hill hold and Hill decent control, roll-over mitigation and hydraulic brake assist.

In the inside the harrier is very plush and fresh. The Oak wood insert along with the satin chrome does gives a premium touch to the interiors ambiance. Tata has kept the design very clean and simple yet premium.

The SUV is set to launch next month and will rival against the segments leaders like Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV 5OO and Jeep Compass. Surely, Harrier would give a uphill competition to its rival. Well, that’s what time would explain the leader.
