The bigger brother of the crowd favorite Harrier, the Tata Gravitas is spotted testing again, this time in Coimbatore. It looks like the 6-seater variant which will be positioned between the Harrier and the 7-seater H7X. The Gravitas gets captain seats in the middle row unlike a bench as seen in the concept H7X.
The design of the Tata Gravitas is based on the Impact 2.0 design philosophy as seen on the Harrier. The Gravitas is also the more premium offering from Tata and will come fully loaded with features and tech. As seen in earlier interior spy shots below, it gets a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity. Also on offer is an electronic handbrake, disc brakes on all four wheels, unlike the Tata Harrier.
We can also expect the Gravitas to run on the 2.0-liter Kryotec diesel engine from the Harrier but at a higher state of tune. This motor is Tata’s iteration of the FCA 2.0 Multijet II engine. It will feature the power of around 170bhp and also a peak torque of 350Nm and will be BS6 compliant. The engine will come with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. Also, unlike the Harrier, the Gravitas is rumored to feature the much awaited all wheel drive system. It will also get an individual rear suspension.
