Tata Motors today made all the eyes turn towards its pavilion. Tata today unveiled its most waited H5X Concept code-named Q501/502 and premium Hatchback 45X concept at 2018 Auto Expo. Both the concept vehicles will be joining Tata product lineup soon. Both the vehicles were eye catching and took away the show alone.
The H5X is purely based upon Land Rover’s L550 platform which is even notable. The design is though something new where the roof has a coupe like sloping roof and the side pillar narrows in the rear which gets merged in the C-pillar running through the rear windscreen. The front facia has the Tata Signature grill followed by horizontal LED lights which is nicely integrated to the headlamps which Tata refers as Humanity line, giving it a Bold Macho look with huge tri-arrow fog lamps integrated in the front bumper. The front has been kept very clean and has under the bumper cladding which has been nicely integrated to the dual tone bumper.
The Interior is not what we usually seen in the Tata Cars. The dash board is dual tone with central wooden texture which consists of a large floating central touch infotainment system and all digital driver console. The H5X concept has two rear seats, although the production version will come with three row seating at the rear and is expected to feature both 5 and 7 seater versions.
The Production version would be a trimmed down vehicle but may come with minimum changes like we had seen in Nexon concept and production version of Nexon. The SUV will be powered by a re-branded version of Fiat’s Multijet II diesel engine which is also been under the hood of Jeep Compass. The Five seater is expected to be 140hp power horse and the seven seater to be 170hp engine. The SUV all the reason for being a big hit although, the production version will give clearer picture about the SUV.
