Suzuki Ertiga: Recently, Suzuki has announced the most interesting news on its next model launch. The company is all set to introduce the next-gen, Ertiga 7-seater MPV. As per reports, the launch will be held on 19 of April in Indonesia. Previous reports state that the upcoming Suzuki variant is detected testing many times in India and also in Indonesia. The date for the Indonesia launch is confirmed, but the next MPV model could come later 2018 in the Indian market.
According to the current rumors, the cabin plan of the convincing Ertiga will be based on the latest DZire compact sedan. The upcoming Suzuki car is inspired by the HEARTECT concept which is rooted in the modern Swift as well as Dzire. As said earlier, the cabin will be identical, but it will add some cosmetic and technological alterations which will be exciting to see. The car is expected to come with a somewhat modified gear lever and creatively outlined switchgear. On the other hand, it will include the latest form of the aircon control and centrally mounted aircon vents.
The latest Ertiga offers great performance and will be light-weight as it is based on HEARTECT concept. The upcoming model will be more vivid and modified compared to the existing model. The fuel efficiency and vigorous performance are now superior in the upcoming variant. In terms of technical specifications, the latest Ertiga will be available in a petrol as well as diesel engines variants. The petrol variant will be powered by a 1.4-litre K-Series engine and the diesel engine by a 1.3-litre Fiat Multijet engine (same as the existing model). The engine can be capable of producing 108 Bhp of power and 140 Nm of peak torque combined with the 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
The next variant will come with modified seats and headrest. The more superior model of the car is also expected to release which is assumed to come with a 1.5-litre diesel engine and advanced technologies like Suzuki’s 7-inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system featuring Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Now, the interior will have additional leg-room for the rear as well as front passenger seats thanks to the wider wheelbase. Previous spied images show that the car will have enlarged back overhang which can extend the third-row and boot area.
At present, Suzuki is working on an Ertiga’s crossover segment which is expected to come in the next year. It will be more advanced and powerful segment by the company. Moreover, the company has not revealed the price tag given to the next Maruti Ertiga. However, the top-specs included in the car suggests that the price will be higher than the existing model. The price is expected to start from approximately INR 6.5 lakh for the standard variant.
