Recently, Haojue Motorcycle, Suzuki’s small displacement motorcycles partner in China has unwrapped the all-new Haojue DR300 at the 2018 Chongqing Mobo Fair. The new bike is uncovered as a 300cc naked street adventurer which is also expected to debut in India. The concept of the motorcycle is inspired by the popular Suzuki GW250. However, the company has not confirmed if it’s coming to the Indian market.
If the two-wheeler reaches in the country, it can be called Suzuki Gixxer 300 or Suzuki GSX-S300. In terms of appearance, the bike is highly based on the Suzuki GSX-S1000. It has got a bold sporty look with the all-new LED headlamp with LED DRLs. The fuel tank is carved with elongated tank shrouds and boosted side elements. From the rear, the bike looks more striking with a slim tail segment, split seats, new LED taillights and the wedge-shaped exhaust.
The sporty bike is outfitted with the latest 10-spoke, 17-inch alloy wheels shod of 110/70 front and 140/60 rear tires exclusively from Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tubeless tyres. It is also equipped with an all-digital instrument cluster which makes your rides more efficient. Regarding the braking system, the bike features a 298mm petal disc at the front and a rotor brake at the rear. It also comes with front USD forks and adjustable mono shock rear suspension.
The Haojue DR300 is powered by a 298cc, parallel twin-cylinder, 4 valves, liquid cooled engine, which seems to be a modified model of the 250cc engine specs. The engine is capable of generating 24.4PS at 8,500rpm and 22Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, combined with a 6-speed transmission. The company has also adopted dual-channel ABS as standard which makes rides safer.
Haojue and Suzuki produce bikes in China, but many of those models are exported in different countries including India. As you all know, Indian customers highly prefer 300cc bikes these days, so the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer could have plans of introducing the new model in the country as well. The company has not yet declared the engine specs of the bike which is expected to be revealed soon.
