Suzuki has recently launched the all-new fully-faired Gixxer SF 250. Now, the company is all set to introduce the naked version of the Gixxer SF 250. Mechanically, the upcoming bike will be based on the recently released Gixxer. The naked bike is expected to be unwrapped officially in the upcoming festive season. It will aim at improving the sales of the Gixxer series. The company can also reveal an all-new Gixxer 150 in the same event.
Suzuki has not yet confirmed the features of the bike, but the designing is expected to be based on an entry-level naked bike, GSX-S125. It can be equipped with the same bulbous headlight, front fender, tank and exhaust set-up. The rear section of the bike will be inspired by the all-new Gixxer SF 250. The bike will come at an affordable price as it will be built on the same chassis. It is also likely to get gold highlights on the engine casing and chrome elements including double barrel exhaust.
The upcoming Suzuki Gixxer 250 will be powered by the same 250cc oil-cooled single-cylinder motor that makes 26 hp of power at 9000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of max torque at 7500 rpm. The engine will be combined with a six-speed gearbox. Similar to Gixxer SF 250, the new model will feature conventional telescopic forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. It will be equipped with clip-on handlebars.
The braking will be handled by disc brakes highlighting dual-channel ABS as standard. The upcoming naked bike will come with a lower weight. It will be available at an affordable price compared to the fully-faired version. It can get a price tag around Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom) as the faired version is sold at Rs 1.7 lakh price. It will rival against the likes of Yamaha FZ25, Bajaj Dominar 400, and the Duke 200.
