In a partnership with Vmoto, Ducati has unwrapped its first electric scooter, SuperSoco Ducati CUx. It has been developed jointly by the company has got a Ducati badge on it. The Italian sports bike maker has previously announced of entering the EV segment, although, the fans were not expecting this. Last year, the CEO of Ducati, Claudio Domenicali has raised the enthusiasm among fans by declaring that the brand will soon deliver an electric two-wheeler and we believe it is not CUx.
The all-new CUx scooter has received the company’s traditional red and white concept. The designing is not bad at all as it looks attractive from the side. It is integrated with all LED lighting system which makes it a modern scooter. It also features an LCD instrument cluster, keyless smart system, Anti-theft alarm and smartphone integration.
In terms of suspension, the scooter is developed with the conventional telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The braking duties are handled by a 180 mm disc. It is powered by a hub-mounted Bosch 1,300 W electric engine which is backed by a 30 Ah (60V) Li-ion battery. The company claims a range of 75 km. The battery gets fully charged in about 7-8 hours through a 4A charger.
The CEO of Ducati has also announced that they will soon unwrap an electric two-wheeler bike. Although, we have high expectations for the next EV from the company as the new scooter has not impressed much. This Ducati scooter is available at 2299 pounds approximately Rs 2.05 lakhs in India. However, it is not available in the Indian market. The new scooter is a UK variant and will be traded in some European nations.
