SsangYong Musso: The fourth greatest South Korean-related vehicle maker, SsangYong Motor Company has recently revealed their 3rd generation SsangYong Musso pick-up, which has got the layout based on latest Rexton SUV (Mahindra XUV700). The Korean company’s low-priced model has received another pick-up in global sales with another regular stock and a renewed cabin for this year. It will compete against the Nissan Navara in terms of appearance. It has got an enhanced design with the front-tip matches the Rexton SUV as the latest car is massively special.
The heavy pick-up vehicle is much like the unique Rexton. The vehicle’s chassis form is 81.7% raised-power steel. According to the company, this feature improves the rigor of Musso which enables high-grade security and additionally increases the effectiveness of controlling it on the off-road situation. The latest Musso is equipped with a renewed 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine which will produce 184hp of peak power and 420Nm of peak torque. The power and torque are increased to 5hp and, 20Nm, respectively compared to previous models. The company has added grunt which supports the vehicle to hold sufficient weight in the rear while tows trailers of up to 3.5 tonnes. It features 4-wheel drive system combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox or 6-speed automatic transmission (optional).
The company calls it Musso as it is a Korean word which indicates rhinoceros. So, their vehicles are a robust, solid and compelling SUV. The vehicle is designed in such a way that the torque is simply transferred to the front tires if required. Nevertheless, it also includes a constant total wheel drive regarding low grip surfaces. It features ground clearance of 215mm and moderately compact overhangs. The dimension is 5,095mm in length, 1,950mm width and 1,840mm in height. The pickup comes with a load deck including a flat foldable back door for producing more space for a full-sized Euro pallet which is a wooden space for carrying bulky stocks for factory usage.
Now about the cabin which includes a conventional five-seater and moreover improved spacious interior. You will see a clear-cut dashboard layout with an 8.0-inch touchscreen in the center which consists of DAB radio, Bluetooth, and MP3 connectivity. It adds wi-fi mirroring, Apple Carplay and Android Auto. However, the company has not declared whether the Musso pick-up will be introduced in India or not, but the Rexton SUV is expected to come in the mid-2018. The Musso pick-up SUV was debuted at the recent 2018 Auto Expo and is supposed to carry a Mahindra symbol for India debut. In the previous reports, Mahindra has said to launch some exciting model in India like U321 MPV, the XUV500 facelift, TUV300 Plus and the all-electric eKUV100.
