In October 2019 sales number the figures for Skoda India were not very pleasing. In fact, no product of the company touches the 1,000 units mark. While the most seller remained to be the Skoda Rapid with 815 units sold. While Skoda is definitely now focusing on Project 2.0 along with the launch of Kamiq and Karoq.
Before that lucrative discount has been offered from Skoda on almost all its variants. Starting off with the Superb it has got a massive discount of Rs 3.5 Lakh in it L&K trim. So the price for the Skoda Superb Diesel L&K model is now Rs 30 Lakh, down from 33.5 Lakh. But not only the top variant even petrol gets a price cut. The 1.8 TSI AT Style variant gets a price drop of Rs 1.8 Lakh.
Skoda recently reduced the price of the Rapid too. Skoda seems to be giving a discount for their current lineup before they start up with their project 2.0. The discount offered is valid until the end of this month.
While the Skoda Superb is due for a facelift and it will come in mid-2020. The current-gen Skoda Superb comes with two engines options. A 1.8 TSI petrol engine with 177bhp and 320Nm of torque, it comes mated to a 6-speed manual as well as 7-speed DSG. There is also a 2.0 TDI Diesel engine with 174bhp, mated to a 6-speed DSG. It competes with Toyota Camry Hybrid and Volkswagen Passat.
