A new entry level variant called Skoda Superb Corporate edition has been added to the Skoda Superb line-up. Skoda India has priced [ex showroom – Delhi] the new Skoda Superb Corporate edition at Rs 23.49 lakh. At this introductory price tag, the new Skoda Superb Corporate edition is Rs 2.1 lakh cheaper than the regular Style variant. The new edition Skoda Superb Corporate is offered in only one colour option – Candy white shade and this model is only available to the existing Skoda and Volkswagen customers.
Despite being priced at a cheaper rate, the Skoda Superb Corporate edition comes equipped with the same features as seen on the regular Style variant. The Skoda Superb Corporate edition sits on 17 inch alloy wheels and gets bi – Xenon headlamps, daytime running lights, chrome grille and LED rearlamps. The interior of the new edition Skoda Superb Corporate comes equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system, 12 way power seat for driver and memory function, stone beige leather upholstery and panoramic electric sunroof. Besides that the new variant of Skoda Superb comes with dual zone climatic control and eight speaker audio system.
The Skoda Superb Corporate edition gets powered by the 1.8 litre TSI petrol engine, which churns out a power of 178 PS at 4000 to 6000 rpm and produces a peak torque of 320 Nm at 1450 to 3900 rpm. A six speed fully synchronised manual transmission comes paired to the engine. A 2.0 litre, four cylinder turbocharged diesel engine is also on offer with the Superb edition. This engine delivers a power of 175 bhp and produces a peak torque of 350 Nm. The Skoda Superb Corporate edition gets ABS with EBD as standard. The other standard safety features include electronic stability control, traction control, eight air bags and hill hold control
The company is limiting no. of cars to their corporate customers in order to check if the variant goes well. Skoda is expected to launch it for general consumers if the Variant is successful with corporate sales. Currently, Skoda offers the Regular Superb edition in two variants Style and L & K priced at Rs 25.59 lakh and Rs 32.99 lakh respectively. The Skoda Superb competes with the Volkswagen Passant and the Toyota Camry Hybrid. However, the Czench automaker is planning to launch nine new cars in the next three years.
