Skoda has launched Superb Sportline in India. It gets similar interior treatment as Skoda Octavia RS. The Sportline is placed between the Style variant and the Lauren and Klement trim.
Mechanically it does not get any changes, So, its merely a cosmetic job. At the exterior, it gets a glossy black front grille. It also glossy black side steps and black trim on the lower grille. Sportline badges are present on both the front wheel arches. The rear features a lip spoiler and exhaust pipes finished in chrome. 17-inch Drakon Alloy wheels. Bi-Xenon LED headlights with decorative crystal elements.
In the interior, it gets an all Black Alcantara upholstery, LED lighting, Auto-Dimming external mirrors with programmable memory settings. An 8″ floating touchscreen which gets SmartLink technolog with Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto with speakers from Parkatronic and 3-Zone climate control. It also gets an cooled box to cool your beverage. A flat bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters. The superb gets an massive boot if 625 litres.
It gets a host of safety features like HHC(Hill Hold Control), HBA(Hill Brake Assist), ASR(Anti Slip Regulation, EDS(Electric Differential Lock), ABS(Anti-lock Braking System) and ESC(Electronic Stability Control).
Powering the Superb Sportline is the same set of the engine used in normal Superb. A 1.8-liter TSI four-cylinder petrol engine churning out 180 bhp and 300Nm of torque with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. It delivers a fuel efficiency of 14.81 kmpl. A 2.0-liter TDI which deliver 177bhp and 350Nm of peak torque. It comes with a 6-speed DSG gearbox. Diesel motor gives a fuel economy of 18.6 kmpl.
Skoda India has priced the Skoda Superb Sportline at a starting price of Rs 28.99 lakhs. The diesel variant will cost you Rs 31.49 lakhs. It compares with Volkswagen Passat, Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.
