Earlier in 2017, the Indian customers were fascinated by the release of Skoda Octavia RS. The new model was rapidly sold in the country and the buyers were completely satisfied with the variant. The time has finally come when we will get another variant of Skoda Octavia which will be a more enhanced version of RS. We will soon notice the debut of Skoda Octavia RS 245 or vRS.

Skoda Octavia RS was a limited edition variant and the company produced only 300 units. Although, the surprising sales of the variant forced the company to deliver more 200 units in the country. Many interested buyers didn’t get the opportunity to buy this amazing car last year. So, the company is all set to bring back the sporty sedan.

Skoda is said to produce 200 units of the new variant in India. The company has already released an official teaser of its upcoming vRS model. Although, it will be launched in the beginning months of 2020. At present, the Skoda Octavia RS is available in India at Rs 24.62 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). So, the new variant will be pricier expected to reach Rs 30 lakh.

The upcoming model will be also showcased at 2020 Auto Expo. It will be brought in India from Europe via the CBU route. The Euro-spec Octavia RS 245 is powered by a 2-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine that makes 245bhp of max power and 370Nm of peak torque. The engine is combined with a 7-speed direct-shift transmission. The all-new Octavia RS will claim 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds and a max speed of 250kmph.

New Octavia RS is integrated with modified suspension assembly and braking system. It is outfitted with 18-inches alloy wheels or 19-inch Xtreme silver alloy wheels on option, newly designed LED headlamps, exterior frame, new bumpers, classy blacked-out features on the body, steel tip exhausts, and a small boot spoiler. It is designed with a trapezoidal exhaust system on both side and a vRS badge positioned on the grille.

Moving inside the cabin, we notice RS badge on the seats with contrast stitching. The dash is equipped with a new steering wheel. The model is equipped with a 9.2-inch touchscreen display that supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Mirrorlink. It also gets a limited-slip differential. The interior is also decorated with LED ambient lighting which gives it an attractive touch.

In terms of safety, it comes with nine airbags, ESP and Predictive Pedestrian Protection, Adaptive Cruise control, Dynamic Chassis Control, and more. The company has not made any changes for the Indian version so, you don’t have to compromise with the features, speed and performance.
