The Skoda Karoq Scout has been unveiled at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. The Karoq Scout is a more off road friendly variant of the Karoq. The car is completely suitable for the demanding trips beyond the tarmac roads because it will be equipped with rough terrain package. The car is likely to hit the India roads sometime in the year 2019. The car will be available in a number of trims in order to meet the needs of the people from every age group with different needs. The Skoda Karoq Scout is offered with four wheel drive as standard similar to the Octavia Scout.
The Karoq Scout features a robust look with chrome and silver finished bodywork. On the exterior, the Skoda Karoq Scout sports a metallic rear bumper and scuff plates. Besides that the new Karoq Scout comes with a sump guard, tinted windows and exclusive Scout logo. The Skoda Karoq Scout sits on 18 inch ‘Braga’ alloy wheels as standard which the 19 inch ‘Crater’ alloy wheels will be an optional offering.
Moving to the interior, the Skoda Karoq Scout gets an ambient LED lighting and newly designed seats with black and brown contrasting seams and embroidered with Scout lettering. Besides that the car will come equipped with the multifunction leather steering wheel and pedals with stainless steel elements. The virtual cockpit system will be offered on the Karoq Scout which can be customized by the driver according to the needs. The car will come equipped with smart features including the Wi-Fi hotspot and the LTE module.
Powering the Skoda Karoq Scout are the three engines – one petrol and two diesel engines. The 1.5 litre TSI petrol engine churns out a maximum power of 150 hp. A seven speed DSG comes matted to the engine. On the other hand 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine produces a maximum power of 150 hp or 190 hp. This engine comes paired with a six speed manual gearbox as standard while an optional offering includes a seven speed DSG.
