After Hyundai officially revealed all the details of the upcoming Santro to the media on 9th October. A member from TeamBHP has shared spy images of the interior of the car and an image of the side profile. The car appears to be in some dealership. You can prebook the Santro till 22nd October with a token amount of Rs 11,100.
Compared to the original Santro. These interiors appear much better and premium. The design is typical Hyundai. You get a dual tone dashboard in black and beige. The steering wheel has the same black and beige treatment. It also gets steering mounted controls on the left side for volume control and calling features. In the centre, there is a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Large vertical air-con vents around the touchscreen system. The corner AC vents look very unique. three regular knobs to control the AC, the Santro does not get a climate control. it also gets a rear AC vent.
The instrument cluster features a speedometer and a tachometer. With redline marked at 6,500 rpm. A digital screen on the right side of the speedometer. It displays fuel meter, trip meter and average fuel consumption.
The Santro looks smart from the side profile in the picture. Hyundai is offering driver side airbag, ABS (anti-lock braking system) and EBD (electronic brake distribution) as standard. Dual front airbags will be offered in the top-end variant.
Santro gets a 1.1-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 69 bhp and 99 Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Hyundai will also offer a 5-speed auto. Furthermore, a factory fitted CNG variant which gets 59 bhp and 84 Nm of torque.
To go on sale from 23rd of October the Hyundai Santro will be sold in five different variants – Dlite, Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta. It will compete with cars like Renault Kwid, Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, Datsun RediGo and Tata Tiago.
