Thunderbird X: Royal Enfield has given us many exciting bikes which are big competitors for the other automobile companies. The high-tech bike maker, Royal Enfield has recently introduced their brand-new Thunderbird 350X & 500X variant which comes with great specs and features. The bikes are available at INR 1.56 lakh and INR 1.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), individually. In previous reports, these two bikes were top. Earlier, some sites also reported spied images and dripped videos, but finally, the company has revealed all about the upcoming bike models.

Both the bike will be the successor of Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 and Thunderbird 500, but the price is completely different. The previous models have got very low priced compared to the latest models which are pricey. The difference in price is about INR 8,000. However, the bikes are made with more advanced and more features compared to the previous variant. The latest Royal Enfield bikes will be one of the most up-to-date vehicles in the Indian market. The unique design layout will definitely attract many customers easily. There are various modifications which both the bikes have recently got including the brand-new handlebar and comfortable seats.

Both the bikes are equipped with 9-spoke black alloy wheels and tubeless tires which is the leading modification of the company. It was not seen in any previous models of the Royal Enfield brand. They have outfitted the identical headlamp and tail-lamp as the standard form which was present in the earlier model. The lightening includes LED daytime-working light, along with a LED taillight. It comes with front and rear disc brakes but lacks ABS control system. The future Interceptor /Continental GT 650 twins of Royal Enfields is expected to highlight ABS control.

Both the bikes have similar optical and ergonomic changes. It will come along a latest and improved seat of a single-piece assembly which is distinct from the standard Thunderbird split-seat. Th latest variant appears more stylish and in theme compared to the other bikes. The grab rail is clearly attached beside the pillion seat and finishes in the taillight arrangement. Both of them have the same dimension of 2040x1140x830. The fuel capacity is up to 20 liters and ground clearance is 135 mm. The kerb weight of 350X is 195 kg whereas, Thunderbird 500X’s kerb weight is 197 kg.

They are outfitted with all digital twin-pod analog instrumentation along with black polish and chrome trimming throughout the numbers. Both the Thunderbird versions are equipped with an equivalent engine and combined with a five-speed transmission like the regular Thunderbird series. The 350X and 500X are powered by the 346cc and 499cc engine, respectively which are similar to Thunderbird 350/ 500. The air-cooled, single-cylinder UCE carbureted engine for 350X produces 19.8hp of power and 28Nm of peak torque whereas the 500X’s fuel-injected engine provides 27.2hp power and 41.3Nm of peak torque.

The exhaust and the telescopic 41mm fork, as well as shock-absorbers, are glazed in a matte-black coating. The front tire is 90/90-19″-52 P TL and the rear tire is 120/80-18″-62 P TL. They have 280mm double piston front brakes and 240mm single piston rear brakes. Both the bikes are produced in 4 gorgeous shades which are Getaway Orange and Drifter Blue for 500X, whereas, Whimsical White and Roving Red for 350X. It also has some latest updates like backseat backrest, flyscreen and engine protector which are enough to compete with the competitors. Thunderbird 350X cost Rs. 1.56 lakh and the Thunderbird 500X cost is Rs 1.98 lakh in India. The bikes will lock horns against UM Renegade Sports S.
