First look at Revolt Motors new electric smart motorcycle - official sketches

Revolt Motors (Revolt Intellicorp) has released official sketches of their new smart electric motorcycle. The motorcycle also includes Artificial Intelligence and is always connected, hence it is called smart. The company hopes to change how electric two-wheelers are seen in the country.

The sketches show a naked motorcycle with USD forks up front and a single mono shock at the rear. It also has sculpted fuel tanks which is probably where the batteries are located. The motorcycle looks modern yet conventional. It also gets disc brakes on both the wheel. This shows that ABS is also a possibility at least as an option.

Unlike the Emflux One, this motorcycle is limited to 85kmph. It will also have a range of about 150 kilometers on a single charge. The lithium ion batteries are also swappable. Revolt Motors imports the battery and the motor. But the battery management system is designed in house.

Revolt Motors already has an R&D center and also a manufacturing facility in Manesar with an annual capacity of 1.2 lakh units. The company is founded by Rahul Sharma, who is also the co-founder of Micromax India. They also have funding of around Rs 400-500 crore.

Revolt Motors’ chief designer, Shivam Sharma said, “It was an exciting process- designing our first EV and experimenting with entirely different dynamics. Apart from the technological prowess of the product, the stance and riding position make it a perfect everyday commute. It took us six months, three different directions and seven mock-ups to finally arrive at the design you will see coming alive soon.”

The company is scheduled to launch its first product in June 2019 in India. We will only get more information about this motorcycle after its official launch. Until then let us look at the sketches and appreciate the startup electric motorcycles soon to launch in the country.
