Hyundai i20 Active: The South Korean automotive company, Hyundai has quietly released the most awaited updated version of i20 Active. There are many remarkable modifications received in the latest version. It is completely different from other models range. There are exciting exterior as well as latest features included in the version. However, the company has not changed the prices of the updated Hyundai i20 Active, so it will be available in the existing price. The existing standard version of the i20 Active is available at INR 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and the high-grade variant comes at nearly INR 10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The high-grade variant has a bit expensive as they are offered in coupled shades.
The company offers Earth Brown and Polar White shade roof choice whereas the Blue shade includes polish pf white contrasting roof. The latest color options will be only available for the top-grade SX variant. The cabin of the refreshed car has received some latest revisions such as gear knob, AC vents, and unique shades in some trim which looks attractive. You will notice a latest modern 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system which will support Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and many more features. The dashboard has many exciting features which are not present in the previous variant. It is equipped with door handles polished in Chrome, roof rails, and dual tone bumpers.
As per the current reports, the design of the latest variant is inspired by the 2018 Hyundai i20 Elite. The i20 Active will be a simpler version of the i20 Elite, and its worth it. The improved variant of the car will feature 6 airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts and many other safety features. The latest variant features side cladding which looks fairly powerful. However, from the front section, the car looks out-dated in terms of design. From the front, it has a same husky design which is found in many previous models.
The modified Hyundai i20 Active is powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine which delivers 82bhp of max and 114Nm of peak torque. It is also available in a 1.4-litre diesel engine which makes 89bhp power and 220Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine is combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox transmission whereas, the diesel engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox. It will lock horns with the latest Ford Freestyle, Toyota Etios Cross and Honda WRV in India. It will be great to see the sales of the i20 Active in future as the competing models are priced less than Hyundai. The power figures are also similar to i20 Elite which is equipped with a 1.4L diesel engine produces 90 PS power.
