Renault brings the spacious and modular Renault Triber to the South African markets. The Triber offers a unique value proposition with practical features and spacious interiors in less than 4-meters.
“Triber has already established itself as a breakthrough concept and has seen tremendous acceptance amongst a wide set of car buyers. With more than 28,000 Tribers already sold in India, we are proud to launch the Renault Triber in South Africa. We will continue this growth momentum and foresee potential growth and high demand from other African markets and ASEAN and SAARC countries alongside growing the TRIBER family in India,” said Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO & Managing Director, Renault India Operations.
It is based on the same CMF-A platform that also underpins the Kwid. But only the platform is kept the same, the Triber gets many new components and features compared to the Kwid. Triber is set to bridge the gap between the Kwid and the Duster. The front-end of the Triber features LED daytime running lights along with projector headlamps and Triple edge chrome front grille. The car gets 15-inch alloy wheels along with side cladding and roof rails. The back of the car also gets elongated tail lamps that look smart. Coming to the interior Triber has something Renault calls easy fix seats. According to Renault, these seats have 100+ seating combinations.
The car comes fitted with the new Energy engine – a 1.0-liter petrol engine, offering a great balance between performance and fuel economy, with a low total cost of maintenance.
Renault Triber was conceived, developed and produced in India, before taking it to the world. With the launch of TRIBER in South Africa, Renault is delivering on its growth strategy shared at the launch of this new game-changer.
