All-New Renault Triber Compact 7-seater MPV Revealed Officially

The Renault Triber is finally revealed for the Indian market and it looks really fantastic. The company has placed the all-new model between the Kwid and the Duster SUV. It has got some elements from the Datsun GO+ which will be carried forward in upcoming models. Renault Tiber will be expected from India to other markets. Although, many other countries such as Brazil is said to develop the Triber with distinct features and underpinnings.

The company has previously teased the images of the car, but now it’s finally revealed. The French automotive company claims the Triber as a segment-defining model. The new Renault car looks stylish and modern with up to date features. It aims at establishing its place in the automotive market in India as the previous output, Renault Captur failed to attract more customer in the segment. As said by the company, the locally built, Triber is “super-spacious” and “ultra-modular”.

Design

The design of the all-new Renault Triber is a combination of a hatchback and an MPV. At the front, it gets a bold V-shaped grille highlighted with swept-back headlamps. It also gets horizontal LED DRLs which are located just below the bumper. The car is developed for mild off-roading as it comes with skid plate at the bumper below the edge. However, it is perfect to be driven on smooth city roads in any condition.

Moving to the side, we can notice minimum ridges and a sharp edge line. The car sits on 15-inch alloy wheels along with side cladding that makes it superior. From the back, the car is seen with enclosed tail lights which are somewhat like Kwid and Captur. The dual shade exterior looks attractive with the roof rails. The new model is developed at an enhanced version of the Kwid’s CMF-A platform.

Interior & Safety Features

The cabin of the Triber is spacious with more legroom and headroom. It is similar to the cabin of Captur but received some special features as well. The dashboard has received twin pain job which highlights large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity support. It is integrated with the 3.5-inch all-digital LCD instrument cluster.

The car is integrated with some intelligent functions including driving-style coaching and driver economy rating. It also comes with an adjustable second row with a reclining and split folding function. It also gets AC vent for the third row of seats, armrests and charging sockets. It also comes with 625 litres of boot space, if the third row is removed.

In terms of safety, the Triber comes with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and a speed warning system as standard. The top specs variant is equipped with reverse camera and additional airbags as well.

Engine & Specs

Renault Triber is powered by Kwid based 1.0-litre engine (BR10), three-cylinder petrol engine which delivers 72hp of max power. This engine is combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox transmission. The company can also introduce a 5-speed automated manual transmission and a turbocharged 1.0-litre petrol engine later this year.

The Renault Kwid will be officially launched in the upcoming festive season which will grab the interest of more customers. The prices are not revealed officially for now, but it is expected to be offered between Rs 5.5 lakh-Rs 8 lakh.
