The all-new Kwid is the most successful model of Renault. The French automotive maker is working on to expand the variant of the popular model. The company was recently spotted the best-selling Renault Kwid which is assumed to be the new Climber variant of the model. It is the first time when the vehicle has been spied uncovered. The vehicle is remodified with an all-new design which looks amazing.
The latest spy shots reveal that the car will be bolder from the front. It is outfitted with a new split headlamp setup surrounded by grey and orange finish. It will also come with upper LED DRLs and a halogen headlamp located on the bumper. The interior is more luxurious highlighting some orange elements. Before Kwid, Renault Duster was the most-selling vehicle of the automotive maker.
The sales of Kwid has somewhat decreased as new cars have taken the spot with their advanced features. It seems the new addition will enhance the sales further. The new variant of Renault Kwid will be equipped with new features and will be safer than before. The company is expected to introduce the upcoming car in 2020. The car will be presented in a new appearance as well. The front the popular hatch will be based on the Renault K-ZE which is available in China.
At the back of the new variant, it will get an all-new tail lamp with C-shaped LED additions. The car will be constructed on the same frame. Taling about the cabin, the car can be integrated with 8-inch touchscreen infotainment on the dashboard along with a digital speedometer based on the Triber model. It will come with advanced safety features including driver-side airbag, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), rear parking sensors, speed-alert and seatbelt reminder.
Renault Kwid is available in two engine options: 799cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine making 54 PS and 72 Nm and a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 68 PS and 91 Nm of peak torque. It is combined with a 5-speed manual transmission. The new engine will be BS6 compliant to comply with the new vehicle norms. At present, the prices of the Kwid starts from Rs. 2.76 lakh to Rs. 4.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The price of the upcoming variant will be somewhat higher due to new features and design. It is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of next year.
