Renault Kiger Interior Details Revealed in Spy Shots: Launch Soon

The interior of Renault Kiger has been spotted while testing for the first time. The upcoming compact SUV looks bold with the husky looking front. Earlier, the spy shots of the vehicle surfaced online that revealed the exterior. Now, the interior cabin has been spied which looks attractive. The new Kiger will be developed on the company’s CMF-A+ platform based on Triber. Both the models are built with the same powertrains.

In terms of interior, the Kiger gets some bits from the Triber as well. However, the company has kept much difference between the two models. The spy shots revealed a dashboard that is combined with a new centre console set up. The dash is equipped with a new 8.0-inch touchscreen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The display seems to get a floating set up.

The air-con vents are now lowered along with the engine start-stop button. On the side section, the SUV gets air-con vents, which gives a premium touch flaunted by dark grey-black elements inside. Compared to the Triber, it is different as it was launched with a dual-tone, beige-on-black treatment. The upcoming SUV further gets dual-gloveboxes as well.

Moving on towards the exterior, the SUV gets Renault’s signature V-shaped grille highlighted with chrome elements. It will be integrated with split headlamps, asserted wheel arches, smooth rooflines and roof rails. Moreover, the car will feature the brand’s connected technology along with climate control.

The new Renault Kiger will be powered by a 1.0L petrol engine, capable of producing 71bhp of max power and 96Nm of torque. It will be also offered in a turbocharged trim of the 1.0L unit that will make 95bhp of max power. The petrol engine will be combined with a CVT automatic gearbox. It will compete against Hyundai Venue, the Tata Nexon, the Ford EcoSport, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, and Nissan Magnite in India. It is expected to hit the market by October 2020.
