Renault, the French company has unveiled their all new SUV Renault Arkana on 29th August at the 2018 Moscow Motor Show. The all new Renault Arkana SUV coupe is built predominantly for the Russian market and thus is scheduled to launch in Russia at first and then in some more countries. The French Company, Renault has made an official statement stating that they will launch the Arkana only for the emerging markets of the world. Therefore, India being one of the biggest emerging markets, we can hope for the launch of Renault Arkana in 2020. However, nothing is stated yet about its India launch.
Laurens Van den Acker – SVP, Corporate Design of Groupe Renault, said, “The ARKANA show car is a distinctive coupe-crossover, striking balance between the elegance of a Sedan and the powerful stance of an SUV. We have dialed in specific Renault cues, with a strong design, strength and sensuality with a French touch.” Renault says it “proposes an astonishing balance between the elegance of a saloon and the sturdiness of an SUV.” “Robustness is expressed through high ground clearance, wide wheel arches and large 19 inch wheels, for good all terrain capabilities” said the French company.
The Arkana is likely to boost the French company’s sales growth and will be engineered in Russia. The all new Renault Arkana looks like SUV from the front and gets the design of Coupe at the rear. Not much detail about the Renault Arkana is revealed but it will come with LED headlights, LED rear lights, panoramic sunroof and high waist line. The all new Renault Arkana sits on 19 inch alloy wheels. The Renault Arkana is a five seater crossover developed based on the B-Zero platform, which underpins the Renault Captur and the Duster.
Nicolas Maure – SVP, Chairman of Eurasia Region, said, “The idea for this innovative concept came from Russia and the project was conducted with the strong involvement of Renault Russia teams. ARKANA will meet Russian customers’ aspirations but also the ones of new customers in many countries worldwide, enabling Groupe Renault to further pursue its international growth as part of its Drive the Future strategic plan.”
